About Wandé Clothings

Redefining luxury through African excellence and global vision.

Our Story

Wandé Clothings was registered in Lagos, Nigeria, on the belief that African fashion deserves more than a seat at the table. It deserves to set it.

What started as a single design practice grew deliberately into an ecosystem: a couture house, a ready-to-wear label, a manufacturing arm, and a digital illustration studio, each built to the same uncompromising standard.

We didn’t set out to build a brand. We set out to build infrastructure: the kind that lets a designer’s first sketch become a finished, sellable, beautifully constructed garment without ever leaving one trusted house.

Mission & Vision

Our Mission

To deliver creativity, craftsmanship, and innovative fashion solutions that empower designers, brands, and women across the world, built on a foundation of African excellence.

Our Vision

To build a global fashion ecosystem where creativity, craftsmanship, innovation, and fashion solutions coexist under one powerful brand.

Founder Story

Yewande Adebayo

Yewande Adebayo

Wandé Clothings was founded by Yewande Adebayo, a Lagos-based fashion designer and illustrator whose work sits at the intersection of garment construction and visual storytelling.

Her path into fashion was built the way the strongest design careers are built: through the discipline of sketching ideas by hand, then learning how to turn those sketches into garments that hold their shape, fit a body, and survive production at scale.

That dual fluency, an illustrator’s eye paired with a technician’s precision, became the founding logic of the company.

Yewande didn’t want to build a brand that only designed or only produced. She wanted to build the thing fashion rarely has: a single house that could carry an idea from first sketch through tech pack, sampling, and bulk production, while also dressing private clients in couture that felt unmistakably personal.

Wandé Clothings carries her name and philosophy: that Nigerian and African textile traditions, aso-oke chief among them, belong not as embellishment but as a serious design language capable of standing alongside any couture tradition in the world.

Under her creative direction, the company has grown from a single design vision into a four-part ecosystem, each subsidiary built to extend that philosophy into a different corner of the fashion industry.

The Future of Wandé Clothings

The next chapter of Wandé Clothings is global.

We are scaling our manufacturing capacity to serve fashion brands beyond Nigeria, expanding our ready-to-wear offerings into new markets, growing our couture clientele internationally, and pushing Pro Illustrate further into AI-assisted fashion visualization.

African creative talent has historically been underrepresented in emerging fashion technologies. We intend to help change that.

The goal has never been to be Africa’s best-kept secret. It’s to be impossible to ignore.
